Junior Woman's Club Presents Julie Shifman for Public Speaking Engagement
The Junior Womens Club of Wyoming (JWC) is pleased to announce a free public speaking engagement with Julie Shifman. Julie Shifman energizes women to live their best lives. She is an inspirational and award winning speaker, author and business owner, and believes in every woman’s ability to challenge herself and to grow, as she continues to do herself. Julie started her career as a professional ballet dancer and then became a successful lawyer in New York City and Cincinnati before founding her company Act Three in 2008.
Julie is the Founder and President of Act Three (www.actthree.com), an organization that helps women to define their next stage of life and to create their own personal action plan for living out that life. She is the author of the book Act Three: Creating the Life You Want (to be published in 2012) which illustrates the Act Three process using the stories and life lessons of remarkable women she interviewed across the country. On April 18, 2012, Act Three will present Cincinnati’s Premier Women’s Event “Imagine…then do it” (for full program and speakers, please visit www.imaginethendoit.com). At the event, one Cincinnati area woman will be recognized as the winner of the ACT THREE Award, which honors women who after full-time motherhood have gone back to work, started a business, or become involved in the community in a significant way. Act Three is accepting nominations for this award until March 30 (please visit the website www.imaginethendoit.com for application form to nominate your candidate.) She was recently a finalist for the prestigious Athena Award by Cincy Magazine and was named a Woman to Watch by The Cincinnati Enquirer.
