PLEASE DO NOT RAKE YOUR LEAF PILES INTO THE STREET

Just a reminder, do not rake leaves into the street; pile your leaves behind the curb in the tree lawn.  During last nights’ rainfall we experienced flooding in the roadways where leaves had been raked into the street.  This creates a safety issue that could result in traffic accidents and/or personal injury.  Please keep the leaf piles out of the street so storm water run-off can flow as designed.

Please be aware that the City’s codified ordinances, Section 905.02, prohibits any person from obstructing or permitting obstruction of any gutter so as to impeded the passage of water flowing in such gutter in or adjacent to any City or private street.  Failure to comply could result in a citation.
