JULY 4th FESTIVITIES
This year's parade theme is "150 years of Wyoming." Neighborhoods vie in friendly competition for the coveted award given to the street that best exemplifies the theme. To participate in the parade, register on Worthington Avenue in front of the Civic Center beginning at 9:00 am. In addition to the neighborhood floats, children are encouraged to decorate their bikes and ride (with helmet) in the parade. Neighborhoods, families, scouts, service men and women, and veterans are all welcome to join in. Register and line up on Worthington Avenue. Route is from Worthington, north on Springfield Pike, east on Wentworth Avenue, south on Burns Avenue, then west on Worthington Avenue. After the parade, children's games and an award ceremony will take place at the Wyoming Middle School.
Evening fun includes, inflatable jumps, slides, and interactive games the entire family can enjoy, a spectacular concert by My Sister Sarah, followed by Rozzi's Famous Fireworks. Parking at Oak Park will be restricted to emergency vehicles. Please park on one of the surrounding streets and walk. A shuttle bus will operate from in front of the high school on Pendery Avenue and from the old Municipool lot beginning at 7:30 pm. Shuttles will run up to one hour after the fireworks.
