Wyoming Ave. Farmers’ Market is on the Move

The Wyoming Ave. Farmers’ Market will be moving one block west for the remainder of the outdoor season.  Beginning Tuesday, September 28 through Tuesday, October 26, the market will be held on Oak Avenue and the Village Green in Wyoming.  Street parking is available and there is a public lot behind 400 Wyoming Avenue. 
In addition to the new location, there will be several special events in the coming weeks:

  • David and Liz Cook of Daveed’s will return to the Market on Tuesday, September 28, to prepare tasty treats with market ingredients.  www.daveeds.net
  • Park + Vine returns on Tuesday, October 5, with their newly-expanded selection of eco-friendly merchandise.  www.parkandvine.com
  • Animal Adoption Foundation will be holding a dog wash on Tuesday, October 5.  Bring your best friend down for an end-of-summer clean-up and help a worthy cause. www.aafpets.com
  • Joanne Drilling, Locavore Chef at Murphin Ridge Inn, West Union will be cooking up a storm in the gazebo on Tuesday, October 12,.  www.murphinridgeinn.com
  • Market Book Group will meet at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 19, at Gabby’s Café.  October’s book is Local Flavors:  Cooking and Eating from America’s Farmers’ Markets by Deborah Madison.
  • Thanksgiving Market will be held on Tuesday, November 23, from 2 pm – 6 pm at Oak Avenue and the Village Green. 

As the market finishes its fourth season, plans are underway for the pre-order Winter Market.  Details will be available online in mid-October.
