Wyoming Woman’s Club Announces 2010 Scholarship Recipient

For the past 60 years, Wyoming Woman’s Club has awarded a scholarship to a Wyoming High School senior for outstanding and conscientious effort in academics and extracurricular activities.

This year, the WWC 2010 scholarship goes to Stephanie Brandstetter who is ranked 11th in her class with a GPA of 4.48.  She is a hard worker as demonstrated by her many AP Courses.  Stephanie plays both piano and viola and has been in orchestra throughout high school.  She is a member of Cum Laude, the Spanish National Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and has received a College Board AP Scholar Award.

Stephanie has also taken the time to help others.  The volunteered as an assistant soccer coach, assisted with Girls of the Run as a mentor, worked as a TAP advisor with the 6th graders, and helped in the Kindergarten class as a teacher’s aide.  She loves working with children and plans to major in early childhood education and become a teacher.

Stephanie will be attending Wittenberg in the fall and is the recipient of the Wittenberg Scholar Award.  In spite of a very heavy academic schedule and family medical hardships that few have faced, this young woman has accomplished tremendous things.  Wyoming Womans’s Club is proud that Stephanie is our scholarship winner and wishes her much success as she enters college this fall.
