Natural Gas Aggregation Program Update and Retail Electric Information

The City of Wyoming Natural Gas Aggregation Program just entered its second year and Integrys Energy Services Inc. has once again been selected as the provider of natural gas to this group. The up to date pricing comparison is available here .

All eligible residents who were enrolled in the Natural Gas Aggregation Program last year are automatically enrolled in the 2010-2011 term. Residents who chose to opt-out of the program last year were NOT enrolled in the new term. New residents and current participants should have received a letter from Integrys Energy Services Inc. in late July acknowledging their participation in the program and information on how to opt-out of the program. Residents who would like to opt-in or opt-out of the program should contact 1.877.778.9937.

The City has received numerous calls from residents regarding solicitations from alternate providers offering discounts on electric service. The City is not involved in an electric aggregation program at this time and has no current plans to aggregate in the near future. The City recently selected Duke Retail as the provider of electric service to municipal facilities through the end of 2011. The savings anticipated by securing this lower unit pricing is over $200,000 for the term of the supply agreement.
