2010 Curb Replacement Program

2010 Curb Replacement Program

On Monday, August 16, Wyoming City Council adopted a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract for the 2010 Curb Replacement Program.  The Wyoming Public Works Department has been aggressively repairing various street maintenance items to both eliminate a potential hazard as well as to prolong the life of the roadway infrastructure. During the annual curb inspections, it was noted that numerous streets have curb that is in various states of deterioration.  With the adoption of the Resolution on Monday night, an estimated 1,590 lineal feet of curb will be removed and replaced to match the existing curb on the following streets: Sweetwater Drive, Brayton Avenue (cul-de-sac end), Stonemill Court, Holman View Drive, and Scarborough Way.  The City received bids from numerous contractors to perform the curb repair.  Ultimately, Adleta, Inc. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid $20,000 lower than the engineer’s project estimate.

The City anticipates that this project will begin in two weeks time.  Wyoming residents that live on the streets affected will be notified when work will begin on their street.  All streets will remain open to thru traffic during construction.
