City seeking Volunteers

City seeking Volunteers

Recently, the City of Wyoming and the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance (GCEA) have teamed up to offer Wyoming residents the opportunity to undergo home energy audits for a reduced cost.  Through grant funding, the GCEA is able to provide energy audits that provide the chance for residents to identify areas for energy improvement and saving money on electric bills.

On July 17, GCEA volunteers will be canvassing the community to distribute energy efficiency kits door-to-door and share information with residents on energy audits.  GCEA and the City are seeking volunteers to participate in this canvass.  Wyoming homes east of Springfield Pike will be targeted on this date.  For homes not targeted and residents not east of Springfield Pike, a community event at the Civic Center has been scheduled for July 21 at 7 pm to provide this same information to interested residents.

Volunteers will meet at the Civic Center at 9 am on July 17 for a brief tutorial on the home energy audit program and will then canvass homes for approximately three hours.   Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all volunteers at the Civic Center.  Volunteers will also receive a free one day family pass for the Wyoming Family Aquatic Center.

If you are interested in volunteering or participating in a home energy audit, please contact Alyson Moritz at 513.821.7600 or by email at amoritz@wyoming.oh.us.
