"Walk of Hope" for Pancreatic Cancer Research
"Walk of Hope" for Pancreatic Cancer Research
Wyoming Youth Services Bureau, Wyoming High School's Project LEAD, and many friends of the Julie Galloway family, invite you to join them in a "Walk of Hope" to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Despite being the 4th leading cause of cancer death in the U.S, Pancreatic Cancer remains years behind other leading cancers in terms of research, early detection methods and treatments.
Julie is a much loved and highly esteemed primary school teacher at Winton Woods School District. The Galloways are a long time Wyoming family with Hanna, an eleventh grade student, and Claire, a seventh grade student. Julie was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
Please join us at Glenwood Gardens this Saturday, November 14th at 10:00 a.m. to noon, for a fun morning walking to the sounds of the Wyoming High School band, eating delicious treats and supporting "one of our own," as we help raise funs for much needed research into this disease.
If you would like to support this worthy cause, but cannot attend the event, you may make donations payable to Project LEAD – WHS 106 Pendery Avenue, Wyoming, Ohio 45215.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Angie Reichert-Hester, Wyoming Youth Services Bureau Service Learning Coordinator, at 821-2428 or by e-mail at angie@wyomingyouthservices.com.
