July 4th Celebration
This year's celebration will be held on Saturday, July 4. The parade theme is "Hometown Pride!" Parade registration begins at 9 am on Worthington Ave. in front of the Civic Center. Parade begins at 10 am. The parade route runs from Worthington Ave. north on Springfield Pk. east on Wentworth Ave., south on Burns Ave., and west back to the Middle School playground on Worthington Ave. Awards will be presented to the neighborhoods that best exemplify the theme. Children's games and food will be available immediately after the parade.
A concert by OoH La La & the Greasers will begin at 7:30 pm with fireworks by Rozzi at 9:45 pm at Oak Park. Parking at Oak Park is limited to emergency vehicles only. Free shuttles will be available at the front of the high school on Pendery Ave. and at the Tot Lot parking lot beginning at 7:30 pm. Handicap parking is available at the City Building (800 Oak Ave.), with a golf cart shuttle running between the handicap parking and Oak Park. In addition to these activities, the Wyoming Family Aquatic Center will be open from 12-6 pm and admission is free for all Wyoming residents.
