The Wyoming Ave Farmers' Market-- Opening Day!

Welcome Back!
Opening Day is here! The Wyoming Ave Farmers’ Market begins its third season Tuesday, May 5 at 3 p.m.  It’s time for local products and goods grown and made with integrity.
Be sure to bring the kids:  Baby animals from Gorman Heritage Farm will visit the market from 3 to 4 p.m.

Now Accepting Plastic!  A new terminal at the Market Information Booth will allow shoppers to swipe a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or electronic food stamp card.  No more worries about running out of cash!

Make up your shopping list!  Here’s who will be at the market this week:

Blackbird Pond—Soap, shampoo bars (great for traveling!) sachets, facial steams, herbal foot bath, potpourri, lavender bath salts and sachets.

Donna's Gourmet Cookies—A variety of cookies, brownies, iced cookies and granola. Individual croissant quiches (spinach and feta, bacon and gruyere). 8-inch quiches (spinach and feta, sausage and cheddar, bacon and gruyere, mushroom and artichoke). Muffins (blueberry, lemon poppy seed, cranberry white chocolate). Croissants (chocolate, and ham and cheese). 

La Terza Coffee—Whole bean and ground locally roasted coffee in half-pound and 1-pound bags.  Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, New Guinea Purosa, Brazil Daterra Estate Villa Borghesi, Decaf Brazil. Will be taking orders for Cup of Excellence Columbian and naturally grown decaf-Brazil Daterra Estate Opus One. Espresso drinks on site, with a special Hazelnut Iced Latte.

Mohr Animal Acres—Whole chickens, beef, pork, goat, lamb, eggs, cheeses, soaps and lotions. 

RJ Veggies—Rhubarb, green onions, lettuce, asparagus, arugula, spinach.  Lots of potted plants:  tomato plants, hanging cherry tomatoes, sweet and hot pepper plants, celery plants, hanging flower pots, marigolds, dill, parsley and basil. 

NEW VENDOR**Spred the Love—Spreads, salsas and homemade tortilla chips

Sweet Miss Confections—Cookies-n-cream lava cakes (individual desserts), sugar and fat free blueberry muffins made with non-fat yogurt, New cookie: Oatmeal butterscotch, as well as biscotti, Lil Bitz cookies, chocolate marshmallows and pretzels, butterfly and lady bug cookies.

Taste from Belgium—Authentic Belgian waffles to eat on-site or take home.

That Guy’s Family Farm—Certified organic mesclun mix, lettuce mix, arugula, spinach, spring garlic greens, green onions, a few tulip stems and smiles for everyone!

Walnut Ridge—assorted head lettuce, buttercrunch lettuce, romaine, lettuce mix, edible flowers, spring garlic, micro-greens, basil, green onions, arugula.  Potted herbs and vegetable starts: broccoli, tomatoes, peppers.  Geranium and verbena plants.
