City of Wyoming Recycling Container Survey

City of Wyoming Recycling Container Survey

The City of Wyoming is investigating the option of giving residents the ability to upgrade from the current 12.5 gallon blue recycling bins to a 65-gallon rolling container.

Some of the advantages of these 65-gallon containers are:
1. The larger size (5x the size of the current bins) reduces number of trips to the curb
2. The convenience of a covered, rolling container
3. Allows for increased recycling volume each week, as needed

If the City adopts this option, each individual household could choose to:
1. Continue using their current bins OR,
2. Upgrade to the rolling containers for a small fee of $1.00 per month. This fee would be collected on an annualized basis ($12.00) by the City, at the time you upgrade

The City will only be collecting the fees for the new containers. Rumpke will administer the program, deliver, maintain, and replace and repair damaged containers. Residents may opt in at any time.

The one-question survey linked below will help the City's  Public Works Department and Wyoming's Environmental Stewardship Commission gauge residents' interest in the new recycling option. Thank you for your input!
